Just a small tip to get AAAAs for cheap:
Take apart a 9v battery, and boom, you have 6 cheap but great AAAAs that work awhile in this!
Ive had much better luck Energizers than Duracells, however.

Works as described, could have been cheaper. And the fact that it has AAAA batteries is kind of odd. There just hard to buy at local stores is all. But other than that it works nicely and was a well worthwhile purchase.

If you need to boost your sound from any item that has a 3.5 plug in...this will do the trick. I plugged this into my ipod and cell phone and was able to use a splitter so that my wife and I could use our headphones when we travel to listen to our music. Works great with or without a splitter. Highly recommend. M Pousson

I purchased this after already owning an original Boostaroo. All I can say is that this device works exactly as designed. After using both units for some time now, I prefer the original Boostaroo to this version.
The original version uses the more common AA batteries and contains an ON-OFF switch both features that I like.
If I were ever in the market for another Boostaroo, I would purchase another original model, not this one not because there is anything wrong with this model.... I just prefer the original.

Unlike many others posting, my Revolution unit is really deluxe, no hiss, or distortion, when using it with my zune, and feeding the payback into an FM transmitter for use over my truck audio system. I wanted something that was an improvement over the basic boostaroo unit, and taking a chance, ordered this unit at a comparable price of the original.
I think the amplification is a lot better and potent, and songs that were bordeline distorted on the original unit, came in crystal clear from the Revolution unit.
I would also suggest that if using an FM Transmitter, some work better than others. My best one is similar to the Belkin style, and allows fairly clear transmission, with minimal static while driving along freeway and highway corridors that include electrostatic and microwave transmissions that tend to interfere with other fm transmitter units. I bought my unit off woot, but no telling when theyll offer more. I am sure that Amazon sells comparable units
